This misty coastal landscape features a group of wooden sticks found at the coast of the North Sea, close to Rockanje in the province of South Holland in The Netherlands. These sticks hold fishing nets in place. The nets, however, were still submerged because the higher tide.
The sun still manages to subtly light the scene, despite of the fog. A longer exposure time smoothens the water and the sky, which makes this misty coastal landscape nicely zen and soothing. It, additionally, makes the wooden sticks and their reflections stand out against the background of fog. The black & white treatment nicely compliments the dreamy look and feel. “Silence at the Sea” seemed like a fitting title.
