We haven’t had a lot of snow in the Alps until now. Last year the first snow came at the end of October just when the autumn colours were at their peak. Perfect timing! I love it when Mother Nature comes along and “photoshops” a bit of contrast into the already incredible scenery! This photograph was taken on 26 October last year just a few 100 metres from my house in the Gruyère region in Switzerland. Lucky me! The mountains are nicely lit by the late afternoon sun.

Lol Peter! Maybe you should move to the Alps then 🙂 I am pretty sure though that you also have amazing places to shoot in Vietnam!
The thought has crossed my mind:-) But I am not done with Vietnam yet – plenty of amazing places still un(der)visited. (One reason why I am only a little jealous.)
Good for you Peter and thanks for the comment!
@mariano: thanks for the compliment! Glad to meet another lover of the Alps! Rimini is close as well isn’t it?
@Khrystiane: thank you very much. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
@Michael: thanks!
Johan, Rimini is not too far, about 500 km.
I think the Alps look a lot different in the area you are in. I was in Ticino a while ago and it is so different. Also beautiful!
